Sir Keir Starmer has been specifically named in a UN report for complicity in Israel's genocide.

The report states that the UK government played "a key role in military collaboration with Israel... a collective crime... with detailed knowledge and cooperation in the destruction of Gaza." 🧵

Thought I should share this emergency protest and urge you followers to go on it.

Not sure about this article. On the one hand strong lines calling the government a people trafficker. On the other argues for giving up on confronting fascists where they march openly in the streets... If we don't stand up to them they turn into lynch mobs! morningstaronline.co.uk/article/stra...

I see the more of the truth is coming out about Rotherham. That no, in fact the police weren't afraid of being racist but were rather knee-deep in the conspiracy, abusing kids, selling drugs and who knows what else. The media more than happy to aid the police and pin the blame on brown people.

Enjoyed Eleanor Janega and Jeremy Gilbert's on the Culture, Power and Politics podcast with expertise about actual medieval history, asking "What’s Feudal About ‘Technofeudalism’?"

Not exactly pithy in length but very approachable. Entertaining destruction!

In the founding of the new left party in the UK I reckon we'd do well to remember these questions about party officers, delegates, candidates and staff, and ensure the constitution has good answers... #ZarahSultana #JeremyCorbyn #Socialism

Interesting little thread. I think whatever party gets trade union affiliation will be the one to back. And I wonder how an electoral pact would work... Whichever party's candidate is ahead in polling in the constituency, a few months ahead of the election, the other pulls out?
A new party of the left? I left Labour in 2020 determined to help find a new home for the left. I spoke to people from half a dozen parties and eventually joined the then recently founded Breakthrough Party formed from two groups thinking along similar lines to me;

I guess one of the first things to settle for a new left party is what you agree to when you join. How about something along these lines:

What do you think?

Feeling hopeful about the new party and wishing I hadn't recently left all my political WhatsApp groups!

Heard this radio call-in last night by a guy looking forward to voting for the new party led by Jeremy Corbyn and Sarah Sultana. Heartwarming!

Iain Dale cutting in on Shabi's factual description of the IDF as an 'army of a state' (ID: 'who all happen to be Jewish') reveals the pitch-black farce of all of this. I'm sure the Saudi army 'all happen to be Muslim'; is it therefore Islamophobic to criticise their slaughter in Yemen?
Rachel Shabi having to explain that 'death to the IDF' is not antisemitic is a sign of how far the smears have gone. And Rachel is right, there are dangerous consequences to that.

Here's hoping the left's resurgence in this country isn't hopelessly split between the Greens and whatever the collective party Corbyn joins is called come the next general election. We need solid opposition to Reform's bigotry & bootlicking, and to confront capitalism. Electoral pact or what?

This is so grim. Refugees are people who's lives have been made impossible abroad. Government should ensure safe & legal routes for these people to come here so they don't need the dinghies. Foul to close the path to citizenship over it. Need a u-turn on this! www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

This is an important point. @timothysnyder.bsky.social: "The entire practice of the Holocaust of the Jews involved zones of statelessness. It is easier to move people away from law than it is to remove law from people. Almost all of the killing took place in artificially created stateless zones."

THIS IS SHOCKING - the financial links between MPs and the private healthcare sector. We have just completed research showing that...

MPs received more than £2.7m in donations from individuals and companies directly or indirectly connected to the private healthcare sector between 2023 and 2025 🚨
