One of the dogs had a vet appt today. The staff write a welcome board every day with all of the day’s scheduled pets’ names on it. I always love reading the names. Today I was confused by a dog named iPad 3000! But hey. You do you. (I *do* prefer non-people-y names, but that is a bridge too far.)

Hey #SoBoCoIndivisible! Spread the word about this—We Ain’t Buying It!

Say NO to Amazon, Home Depot, and Target. Talk to these corporations in a way they understand—with your wallet.

There will be more info coming about the who, the why, the what instead.
Thanksgiving-Cyber Monday, my wallet's ignoring Target, Home Depot, & Amazon. I'm tired of corporations enabling this administration ditching DEI, allowing ICE to terrorize our communities, & chase tax breaks. Join me! #WeAintBuyingIt 🚫 app.sosha.ai/s/yG4Xx7lM

AOC: "It is unconscionable that what we are debating right now is legislation that will give 8 senators over $1 million a piece & we're robbing people of their food assistance & healthcare to pay for it. How can we vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people?"

Trump is lying about Social Security. He's lying about health care. And he's lying about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Release the files now!
House Democrats on Wednesday released emails in which Jeffrey Epstein wrote that Donald Trump had “spent hours at my house” with one of the convicted sex offender’s victims, among other messages that suggested Epstein believed Trump knew more about his abuse than he has acknowledged. nyti.ms/441Dyxh

I enjoyed Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton so much… fiction is really buoying me these days. The premise was fun (crow main character in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse), and it was thought-provoking and deep as well as goofy at times. Highly recommend.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

So it turns out that airports in the US are deeply dependent on money from the federal govt and they basically can't exist without it. Socialism, man. It's where you least expect it, but you should expect it because private businesses don't fund shit. Taxpayers do.

Went to repost this and then depressingly saw it was from 8 months ago. This is still true, and I am now convinced it will remain true until there are successful primary challenges nationwide to the "roll over and play dead" Dems.
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.
