My aunt and uncle did an epic trip into northern Canada many years ago for bird watching. I have wondered whether I have the gumption to try to follow in their footsteps. Galveston, Big Bend, and other winter birding sites—those I can definitely do.

It was pretty amazing to see my friends who fly over my home in Colorado just chillaxing in New Mexico. Next steps: visiting them in Nebraska on their return next year.
