Although I live in France, the UK is still the only place I'm a citizen and (thanks to brexit) the only place I can vote.

Minimum wage IS going up, energy bills WILL be cheaper. Gov has ZERO power over supermarket food prices and ZERO power over private landlord rents. Some new protections for workers/renters but nothing is an instant cure for 14yrs slash and burn. Disingenuous to think otherwise.

Today, we're off to the hospital at the Big Town.
The good lady had an op for breast cancer just before Christmas. All went well, so now we're seeing the consultant to organise the radiotherapy which should tie up any loose ends.

Labour won well over 400 seats in July 2024 based on their manifesto pledges.
Labour have achieved or are on course to achieve 2/3 of that Manifesto already, not 2 years in.

That's no longer enough. I'm now Unfollowing people who regularly post US news and comments.
