rogo si fortuna dar[e]t quo possem
largius ut longa via ceu sacculus est (v)acuus’

Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this.

Learning to make cordage like the Neanderthals from @sallypointer.bsky.social. I’m using flax as it was the easiest prepared bast fiber to find. The 3-ply Neanderthal cordage found in Abri de Maras was made from conifer bast and is dated to ~40 to 50 ka
