Extending Middlemount to 2044 means Labor has now approved 35 fossil fuel projects.

The problem of big party politics… and this is true across the aisle … is that they imagine a change of leadership will correct their public standing.
Not a change of policy. Not a realignment toward public need and sentiment, but a change in figurehead. Says it all really.

If China's emissions had kept growing at previous levels emissions would like, what, maybe a full GIGATONNE higher....the area of avoided emissions here is like deleting the emissions of entire countries. This is happening at a scale that will very clearly have an effect in lessening disasters
