Living in a place that experiences all 4 seasons (with a vengeance) is great, unless you're the one who has to rake the leaves, or shovel the snow, or make sure the garden hose is connected and not leaking, or try to get popsicles home from the grocery store before they melt.

20°F out, windchill making t feel like 9°F. Called the snow removal folks, unlocked the community center for them and turned the heat on, Set up the coffee maker, and put out a tin of instant cocoa and some tea bags. Made sure the bathrooms had TP. Told them to take lots of breaks and warm up >

Good bit of snow came in with those squalls and lake effect snow. 2 am and the plow and salt trucks are starting to clear secondary roads- and I do not envy those folks their jobs, It's well below freezing out- reading 22°F right now. It won't be much "warmer" in the morning when the folks get out

Temps are just going to drop off all day, so I got the greenhouse stuff done early- so I could cross the yard before it was below freezing. Sustained winds already at 20 mph according to out backyard weather station, a few gusts up to 30 mph already, and it's supposed to get windier. Yay?
