If you have time tomorrow, join my online talk about LLS/single molecule/microtubules and 3D data at @bioimagingna.bsky.social user group (18:00 CET for Europe).
I hope I manage to fit 25 movies into 20 cohesive slides and connection will be ok.
#HappyMicroscpyMonday #microscopycommunity - Join us tomorrow, Tue Jan 6 for a talk by Eugene Katrukha on "Single molecule imaging using LLS7", hosted by the BINA Lattice Lightsheet User Group

Bored over the holidays? Give our new preprint on how #microtubule lattice alteration by taxols can regulate #RhoA #signalling via GEF-H1 a read!

Perhaps a new mechanism of action for taxol #chemotherapeutics during interphase.

For the (lattice) light sheet data, now there is an "on-the-fly" deskew mode with an arbitrary angle. So raw LLS7/OPM/Snouty data can be used. Gonna tag some folks, please try it @retof.bsky.social @kevin-dean.bsky.social @amsikking.bsky.social @microtubule.bsky.social @jsdaniel02.bsky.social (2/4)

New release of #BigVolumeBrowser. Many things were added: UI improvement (thanks to @kwolbachia.bsky.social feedback), pyramidization for BioFormats dataset, bug fixes.
Now there is an isosurface rendering mode (1/4)

Woody Guthrie used his music to fight in the 1940ies. Let his guitar be a reminder to us that we all have tools available to stand up.
As biologists, we are trained to See, Understand, Document, and Report - let's apply these today!

We are planning the build of a light sheet setup and are considering a Powell lens to generate the sheet.
I've not been able to find a discussion of the pros and cons in literature, so if you ever used a Powell lens or have considered using one in your setup, I would love to hear your opinion. THX!

We've now discovered some neat cell culture dishes that feature a 50 micron thick film of a proprietary polymer with refractive index even closer to water than FEP. They work just as well as our homemade FEP assembly and are available in multiwell plate format too!
