Seeing the "closed" sign in front of the coffee place I dragged my 3 yo to, in 20 cm of snow for 30 min, I pronounced the famous words of Napoleon during his Russia campaign: " well, fuck".

As the year draws to a close, the UU system is asking me to register my hours, so here is my recent template:

Another KLM fiasco. Flight cancelled, got rebooked allegedly today,checked our luggage. It's in fact tomorrow. We must take 3 planes to do a trip that's usually 1h. We cannot get our luggage back because "it's in a secure area" so no option to take a train instead. Kids are crying. Happy holidays!

An interesting side effect of living here is that my 5 yo learns English language songs from Dutch kids and absolutely does not believe me when I tell her "we're doing sop sop sop" is not part of the lyrics of Golden. Also (sadly) they don't say "crucifer crucifer" in APT.
