Well, one question: does the choice of fan angle matter much? I guess as long as you make the right choice of your achromatic doublet you can get any NA you want. Or am I missing something?
Also, would a small angle Powell lens minimize the divergence of the different wavelength sheets?

I prefer posts over cages for mounting optics because cages have mechanical tolerances that don’t match optical needs, and adding dichroic mirrors...
