Forgive me if it seems too harsh to say but Canada isn’t just “backup plan USA”, it’s also a complex society with a multitude of problems and injustices. Two Mi’kmaq men were killed by the RCMP in the past week in two different incidents because it’s ALSO a violent colonial society.

My ko-fi is here - obviously Minneapolis is the priority but at the same time like, this girl is low-key my responsibility at the moment and I want to at least manage this. In the name of spite and "oh come the fuck on".

It's not that I don't get the joke. It means I am autistic, and I take things literally. Also? Your offensive joke? Wasn't all that funny.

Last September I reported on how scammers are using generative AI systems (LLMs) to create fake book club communities, including Discord chats with AI-powered members.

As an update, the scammers are getting better. Check out this new scam email I received today. 1/

I used to live in Ottawa and the winter there is so, so bad. If I didn't have winter boots, or the grips, it would have been even more dangerous. And because i was afab and have small feet, didn't have to think of sizing. Help out a trans person who needs urgent help with this 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻❄️
Hey friends! So this thread is about my irl life more than usual but you'll understand why. At the end of September my partner and I took in a friend of ours -- another trans girl who has been struggling with housing for years. She needed another place to live and two close friends (a couple)

In an article I wrote like 10 years ago for a website that doesn't exist anymore, I talked about how at the base of the right's issues was that they were afraid and that ultimately what was happening was that their fear made them angry.

Anyway read this thread.
This is literally what I've been writing and podcasting about for years. I was planning to do an essay on this, but here's a 🧵.

The main reason is psychology. Due to personal, family, and cultural histories, some people are inherently scared of the world.
Fight and help win a world war.

Establish a global order that cements your national power for 80 years.

Blow it all up.
