Working on this book only it wasn't a book an hour ago. An hour ago it was a short story about abuse.

The thing is though that I started this short story while I was still in my abusive marriage and now, free, I want to talk about that differently and have more to say.

So it's a book.

So far, it's been a hard year to get excited about anything. But @okokno.bsky.social has a new book coming out this year and her first one was so exactly my kind of nonsense.

And this weekend ice killed a man in my hood, a block away from my house.
They're everywhere right now. Shooting happened a couple of blocks away from my homies house.

Me: I'm about to become insufferable.

When we left the the manager was like you just made my day cuz I was thinking that song was too much and then I heard you singing.

You got to keep singing.

In an article I wrote like 10 years ago for a website that doesn't exist anymore, I talked about how at the base of the right's issues was that they were afraid and that ultimately what was happening was that their fear made them angry.

Anyway read this thread.
This is literally what I've been writing and podcasting about for years. I was planning to do an essay on this, but here's a 🧵.

The main reason is psychology. Due to personal, family, and cultural histories, some people are inherently scared of the world.
Fight and help win a world war.

Establish a global order that cements your national power for 80 years.

Blow it all up.

What am I missing?

I don't know this person but if I lost my kid I'd never recover. Toss her some support.

I was going to see if my friend could give me a ride to run some small errands tomorrow but I have Verizon so I couldn't actually talk to anyone for most of the day.

My baby went to in person school for the first time ever this year. When we started I was worried about school shooters. I am no longer worried about that. Now I'm worried my kids will be snatched up by ICE and dissappeared. So. That's. . . cool.

There are so many people who are operating under a perverted just world theory that allows them to continue to justify these acts of violence against the populace because ultimately, they believe that whatever happens to you, you deserve.
The nice people are blind with rage. Beware.

I thought they didn't want us buying steak and lobster with our foodstamps.
RFK Jr thinks we are in some sort of war on protein. The war on protein is about as real as the war on Christmas.

"The idea of encouraging people to eat more protein makes no sense at all, because people are already eating twice as much protein as they need." www.sciencenews.org/article/new-...
New dietary guidelines flip the food pyramid
The new guidelines emphasizes eating protein and full-fat dairy while reducing sugar, carbs and ultraprocessed foods.
