I really do think participation trophy culture is a bigger input into why everyone seems to be the way they are today. Just a powerful expectation that things should be different or better than they are with no real explanation or path to get there

I'm so annoyed by this gotcha nonsense. These guys make 8 figures a year and all they're being asked to do is to not gamble on sports so that people don't believe their billion dollar league is fixed. It's not some unbearable burden

Quick note on women's sports: it's probably not profitable to stick them on opposite sides of the country. The fastest way to actually make money is probably to base them all in NYC to cut down on travel and then barnstorm a bit to build fans. "Oh the women's baseball team is in town" etc
