A lot of us are trying, but apathy is a huge problem. The MAGA style toxicity up here isn't converting as much as it's making people tune right out, and what's left are the loud voices of grievance politics.

Plus, the total they use for what we get back seems to be only the health transfers. They don't calculate anything else, like the child tax benefits or old age security, military, parks, food safety, etc. And of course, no mention of the 34 billion dollar pipline or subisdies to our O&G sector.

Imagine if a rich parent at your child's school demanded that, because they pay more taxes than other parents, their kid, who is doing well in school, should be getting all the extra resources that special needs students get.
That's what AB looks like right now, and it's embarrassing.

The latest ICE murder victim was, by all accounts, a good person. Caring and brave and kind. A profound loss. But the worst person in Minnesota doesn't deserve to be killed by his government either. You don't have to earn the right not to be murdered by the state. That's what makes it a right.

Even after Trump is gone, the world will remember that he threatened to forcibly seize the territory of a peaceful democratic ally, and our institutions failed to immediately remove him. That makes US dangerously unreliable, not just one senile gangster.
His not being impeached by the end of the business day as a result of this threat is as much a problem as the threat itself. It’s not just Trump that the world has to worry about, it’s a GOP that supports him and Democrats who suck their thumbs and refuse to even discuss pushing to remove him
