Federal immigration agents part of the Trump administration’s “Operation Midway Blitz” may soon leave Chicago, according to multiple sources who said the controversial mission was rapidly winding down after a contentious two months of enforcement raids that have set the city and suburbs on edge.
Federal Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino and agents said to be leaving Chicago, sources say
Cmdr. Gregory Bovino was expected to depart Chicago within days, while most Border Patrol agents under this command would soon be redeployed elsewhere, three sources told the Tribune Monday.

To all of us feeling exhausted and overwhelmed - our neighbors are worth fighting for ✊
My latest is a love letter to Chicago. "I see you stumbling through the stubborn, awkward rhythm of showing up, again and again. I see you fighting alongside people who sometimes frustrate and confuse you, and defending neighbors you may have never met, because you know they’re all your people."
In Chicago, We Run Toward Danger Together
"Faced with unrelenting state violence, Chicagoans have refused to be cowed," says Mariame Kaba.

This account is heartbreaking - America’s own concentration camp level atrocity. Where’s the oversight?
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.

This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

I just can’t with these goons. How many more laws must they violate to be stopped?

As many eyes will be on court downtown today, there are early indications ICE may be active in this area again.

Agents reportedly snatched a daycare worker in Roscoe Village this morning.
ICE/CBP is active in Lincoln Park right now, has been spotted near Damen/Clybourn at Costco + Jewel (this is in addition to a morning abduction reported at Costco earlier).

People believe grocery delivery drivers are being targeted and are asking folks to alert other vulnerable workers as well.

So, are we to the point of 2025 where we ALL just start throwing sandwiches at the feds? Because that sounds really therapeutic. And fun.

Please note this is also in addition to ongoing kidnappings across the suburbs, with sightings reported in more of them than we can even list at the moment. This is daily life now, and there's no one central place reporting them all.
