My thinking is they know this will fail but the church protest is the closest thing they have to a sympathetic narrative in all this so they're trying to draw the public eye towards it (+ they hate CNN + DOJ is stocked with anti-abortion weirdos on a revenge kick)

Most of the side streets, alleys and cut thru I normally bike on to avoid car traffic are the sorts of areas that don't get plowed or are lightly traveled enuf that the frozen slush alone is still a hazard. Nonetheless biking is still the best way to get groceries in the dead of winter.

The reason why cyclists and pedestrians push back against these types of campaigns is not because we think visibility is bad (I wear hig-viz!), but because it's victim blaming that diverts attention from the real issues: dangerous drivers and poor infrastructure

When Ben Franklin was leaving the Constitutional Convention in 1787 a woman asked him what sort of government the delegates had decided on. Franklin replied "a republic if you can keep it". I'm sorry to admit to my favorite founding father that in the end it seems we were unable to keep it.

Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

Contrast this video with Kristi Noems statement then decide if she should continue to lead DHS or instead face trial for capital murder while directing a criminal organization.

Can confirm after biking to work for twenty years starting when I was 49. Best part to me for my mostly urban routes was that I could stop anywhere, any time for a quick pick up at the store or to see a friend. Parking is a non-issue on a bike, its a determining factor in a car.
the vibe-economics of biking to work are so unexpected, like bicycling seems like a dramatically more leisurely way to travel but then it isn’t actually much slower than traffic on the 101 and also the quality of time itself is SO much improved that the whole day is better and more useful?

The Trump regime isn't acting like accountability could be a year away. They are acting like this state of affairs is permanent. The Republican members of Congress aren't acting like accountability might ever be in the offing, instead cheerleading Trump. Seems like we should pay attention to this.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.
