I bought Psylocke Ninja #1 today. The artwork evokes classic xmen styles of the past, but the "#1" on the cover kind of doesn't full emphasize how much you need to have prior knowledge of Uncanny Xmen #251 a comic from nearly 37 years ago. This is definitely one for your dad if he still reads Xmen.

I am quite miffed that I would have to disappointedly explain to someone from the 1980s why we in the almost soon to be over 2020s still don't have hoverboards, cybernetic limbs, and why our billboards exclusively aren't surreal blue holographic gigantic doppelgangers of Grace Jones.
we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

listen my advice for learning to make comics is will. always be: try. it won't be good. don't expect it to be. that's not why you're doing it. I don't care if you wanna do art or scripts or editing or colors or lettering or what. just try it. you'll be BLOWN AWAY at what just TRYING it teaches you

I don't often do challenges like this for OCs, but this one I couldn't resist doing for Vulture and Iceskater. Personally I think these outfits capture their personalities near flawlessly. Overall I had fun with this one.

I wasn't reading too many comics at the time (had some Ultimate Xmen and Ultimate Spiderman around that time), but when this incarnation of Teen Titans hit I was instantly hooked, and to this day this series holds a special place in my heart and a profound influence on my style.
