When giving up is not an option, critical reflection on the root causes of climate injustice and barriers to change is necessary.

The FT says bankers/biz executives are having 2nd thoughts. Serves 'em right.
Eager for tax cuts, deregulation, and a revival in the M&A deals that enrich them (aka "animal spirits") they ignored the obvious: he would bring chaos, tariffs, and vengeful democratic erosion.

A great thread. This is very encouraging!
We left X 150 days ago, and we joined Bluesky 75 days ago.

In that very short time we have surpassed the 7k followers it took us 14 years to assemble on X; more than that though we've really enjoyed being part of the dialogue here.

Bluesky is not an X replacement; it's better than that. <1/6>

I remember my grandparents stopped reading the Telegraph in the late 90s because it had become in their words "fascist". They were part of a war generation who could sniff out the far right, even in broadsheet garb. Today's Telegraph looks more like Der Stürmer
The sort of language being normalised in a British broadsheet: "she places Islam outside the spheres of progress and modernity, embracing the dagger with both hands...if the barbarians tumble into the lowlands, our culture is lost." www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01...
