Funding a private army for the president to enforce his political agenda, entirely separate from the ordinary military, is/was probably the last "historic" decision congress is going to ever make. The president hired and armed his loyalists and even got some of his opponents to pay for it.

This am, I heard from a friend whose 74 y o mother was looking for parking for an event at the St. Paul capital when three feds in a vehicle with TX plates put their car in reverse and nearly rammed her.
