“.. Our BTC price target is 0.0. That’s not just for shock factor. It’s where the math takes us,” the strategist said, noting that Bitcoin has failed to function as a dollar hedge and instead operates as “a speculative instrument correlated to the Nasdaq.”

This right here: "responders are usually right about what doesn't work, but usually not perfect on their suggestions to improve." Except for me, my suggestions are perfect, due to my perfection.
The main lesson I learned is that responders are usually right about what doesn't work, but usually not perfect on their suggestions to improve. Bluesky staff don't even start by acknowledging where there are problems. Thank you for reading my gay non-fiction essay. Could have used less sentences.

That's some good public speaking.
Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

I dispute the "genius" of Cormac McCarthy, I don't care if he sucked as a person, I just hate all of his books because they are badly written and the literary equivalent of crap coming from an ass.

Otherwise good list.
Adding some nuance to this conversation.

my suspicion is that google books, like google scholar, is a passion project for a small group of people, or maybe even a single person, at google who are suffered to maintain it as part of the legacy "20% time" policy. this is not a sustainable way to ensure what are essential public utilities
I don't mean to seem alarmed, but it appears Google's book search function is, just...gone.

In a sane country it would be a huge deal, front page news, that a privately owned utility that millions researches, from journalists to scholars, rely on every day to advance knowledge can just disappear.
