I dispute the "genius" of Cormac McCarthy, I don't care if he sucked as a person, I just hate all of his books because they are badly written and the literary equivalent of crap coming from an ass.

my suspicion is that google books, like google scholar, is a passion project for a small group of people, or maybe even a single person, at google who are suffered to maintain it as part of the legacy "20% time" policy. this is not a sustainable way to ensure what are essential public utilities
I don't mean to seem alarmed, but it appears Google's book search function is, just...gone.
In a sane country it would be a huge deal, front page news, that a privately owned utility that millions researches, from journalists to scholars, rely on every day to advance knowledge can just disappear.

my impetus in posting this was there was a lot of great music about smoking weed in the 1990s.its still great but something's missing b/c smoking weed isn't cool anymore, i want to tell them to make music about sometjhing that was cool then but is still cool today instead , like Donkey Kong Country.

Season 1 of Primal was as good as the best TV that's ever been made. S2 was very good but I don't think it totally landed. Season 3 is shaping up to be as good as Season 1. I think it's just a better show when there's no talking. These are my Primal Thoughts.
