It was never really about cutting overall spending - that was the grift. It was destroying disliked programs, securing lucrative contracts, stealing valuable data, and further decreasing trust in government - all of which were quite successful

I feel like "attention hacking" is most of politics now. The Minnesota aid fraud story is becoming a perfect example.

I am utterly exhausted after two weeks of resisting ICE. But hopeful. It is so beautiful to see our communities get organized. If you haven’t found a group and you are in the twin cities DM me. We need alls sorts of help from admin/coordinating, to delivering groceries.

After ICE did this in Illinois, the Secretary of State revoked the plates, sent a cease and desist to ICE, threatened to suspend rental car licenses for allowing ICE to swap plates and set up a tip hotline to report plate tampering.
MN deserves the same action.

Once at the hospital, the doctor had to call in a poison control specialist.

I am so proud that @ilhanmn.bsky.social is my representative. Out of dozens if not hundreds of democratic politicians I get texts and emails from she is the only one sharing resources on how to protect our community instead of just fundraising. We need more dems who will stand up and fight.

I propose a litmus test. If you are a church or a Christian and someone asks you what and you could provide to immigrants affected by a raid, and your answer is to pass the buck, you can’t call yourself a Christian any longer.

Today in Minneapolis felt like the 2020 uprising. Fear, feeling of being in a military occupation, but also seeing your neighbors organize and stand up for each other. It was a hard day, but also a glimmer of hope.
ICE kidnapped 2 parents from my school. But we are standing up and fighting back.

We use 615x more land for ethanol and it produces 73x less vehicles miles per acre than solar.
We could "gain" another 8.4 million acres for food by replacing ethanol with solar.
