It needs to be written so that they can’t just claim they are actively investigating democrats and therefore can’t release the files. There plan is transparent. It would be nice to not wall right into it.

The data source I found for national didn't have domestic assault or weapons tracked. I only have the MPD slide deck, but I imagine the domestic assault close rate is so high because there is a police that pretty much requires an arrest then and there for domestic violence to protect victims.

In my mind solving crime is the most basic function of policing. It's literally the "keep criminals off the street" part, and about the only way they can actually reduce crime.

If someone robs you there is only a 16% chance MPD will arrest someone. For car theft it's only 1.4% chance. Other than homicide, they dramatically underperform a core function of policing than the national average. kstp.com/kstp-news/to... www.statista.com/statistics/1...
