The worst place in Britain to get timely care for a heart attack or stroke is Swansea.
Wrote on Welsh ambulance responses, and how they are different to elsewhere in the country.
In England, performance is terrible, but we haven't revisited the depths of 2022-3.
In Wales, things are much worse, and they're spiralling way out of control.

Any ideas? I'd prefer local content, subject to UK regulation with no censorship apart from the existing laws on abuse, racism, incitement to violence, etc. I can't see the groups I support being able to easily start again on Mastodon.
A replacement site for groups and communities is needed, owned and controlled by users, paid for with small or graduated subscriptions, or by taxation as a public service. Public funding would be justifiable due to the charitable, environmental and community support functions a lot of groups do.
Continuing with Facebook says you are putting your concerns about censorship, the oppression of all minorities, the threats of lost liberty and the promotion of violence against just about anyone who isn’t you, above swapping pictures of your cat.
Ditch Facebook, it is fascism.

There were around 100 fewer people killed / seriously injured on 20/30mph roads.
Casualties from July-Sept was the lowest Q3 figures in Wales since records began.
Over the year the number of casualties on 20/30mph roads is 28% lower than the year before.
Good policy making.

Survival in tech requires cake and lunch dates apparently. I'm usually the only woman in my team and bristle at any suggestion of cake. It stems from the time an employer marked International Women's Day by inviting only the females to attend a cupcake and rosy fizz event, and asked they wear pink.
