Having women remove themselves from public is no solution to gendered online violence & abuse.
I repeat, the solution to men abusing women is not, and never should be, for women to be less visible or less vocal.
The issue is men being abusive. Men need to hold abusive men to account, not women.

Last night, there was a panel discussion at Parliament about online harassment against MPs. Apparently, Greg Fleming's advice was for politicians to "spend less time on social media" and noted his staff manage his own social media. Fam, I cannot tell you how misguided this advice is. #nzpol
