I started the series during quarantine. Just got temporarily laid off work, stuck at home, and was severely depressed. I started playing CS1 since someone had likened it to Persona.
Discovering a 9 (at the time) game series really kept me going when times were rough.

I was burned out on the RPGs I was playing at the time and asked a co-worker for new RPG suggestions. CS1 was one of them. I tried it, loved it, went back to play Sky and CS at the same time (before the official Crossbell translations) and fell in love with Falcom games.

I played it a few years later on a whim when I saw a big FGC twitter account post some of the character designs and liked Fie/Laura so I started cause of that

when we’re talking about adaptations preserving the “spirit of tolkien”, completely removing the scouring of the shire from the movies is a drastic thematic change that seriously effects the viewer’s ability to understand tolkien’s message
