genuinely it's important to embrace this wholeheartedly, don't drag yourself down by some arbitrary need to "be honest" about media you like, there is no quota for "objective" "criticisms" you have to fill

I'm sure I don't need to say this because everyone knows I'm a massive Dragon Quest fangirl, but I am COMPLETELY enchanted by the Dragon Quest II remake. It just feels so magical and wonderful to play. Especially now that I've done a decent amount of grinding, the difficulty is just right for me.

I finally got the Princess of Cannock to join the party in the DQ2 remake. She joined 10 levels lower than the rest of my party, so I only intended to grind to get her up to level 30, but I've been enjoying the grinding so much that I've just kept going past that. XD

I gave the Octopath 0 demo a try, and I really like what I've played! This will definitely be a wonderful game when the full release comes out.

My wife and I went to the new Costco location that opened up today
And when we arrived, there was a person who dressed up as Santa and held up a sign saying "Trans women are men"
My wife reported it to the higher ups in the store and they were gone once we left

I'm at the endgame of the Dragon Quest 2 remake now, and my playtime is over DOUBLE that of the remake of the first game. There's so much more content added here, and I still have some grinding and extra stuff to do, but I should be finished soon. I love this game 🥹💜

I'm on my third playthrough of Dragon Quest XI (I picked it back up during my depression episode yesterday because it's my perfect comfort game), and it still brings me so much joy all these years later. The magic is still there, and that's what makes it one of my favorite games of all time.

Depression always seems to be the thing that stops me from writing (or things I enjoy doing in general), and yet writing is the thing that makes it easier to deal with depression. Such a brutal cycle when I can't bring myself to do the thing I love.

For some reason, the Prince of Cannock and Princess of Moonbrooke are actually ahead of the hero in levels in DQ2 HD. Definitely the opposite of how it is in the original. XD (The hero hasn't died or lost out on EXP, either. They just seem to level up faster than him at this point somehow.)

I'd do the thing people are doing where you share five games from your backlog, but honestly, I'm so chaotic that I don't even consider my backlog to be a "backlog." I just play whatever I'm in the mood for when I'm not fixated on Dragon Quest or Trails. XD

I found myself endeared to the scions of Erdrick. This comradery is something that I think was missing from DQIII HD-2D, and further makes me want DQIV to get remade so we can see this and more applied there.

I introduced a friend of mine to Kisekidle, and he got the character and quote just fine, but he does NOT listen to the music enough to be able to guess song titles. XD
