I was raised south of the line, and now live on the north side of the line. Amazing, 10 miles, but what a difference. Kids are “young professionals” living in Denver, tried everything (including bribery) to entice them back to Michigan, not happening, lol

it doesn't have to be this way. If RFK Jr would let CDC run it's vaccination campaigns, we could slow this down.

Vaccination is the best way to stop the spread of measles. Vaccination helps protect the most vulnerable and youngest of our communities. Talk with your doctor about vaccination.

'Staring over the edge': South Carolina measles outbreak doubles in a week
More than 500 people are in a 21-day quarantine and about 200 are "actively infected." The largest outbreak currently in the U.S. has spread to at least three other states.

To put 200 active measles infections in one state in context, the Disneyland measles outbreak a decade ago - which I did some work on in grad school - was 131 total cases in California. That was a notable outbreak. That's an outbreak with its own Wikipedia page. And it's just like this now

I am appalled by the lack of gratitude Miller, Noem, and Trump continue to show Americans calling for prosecution for their atrocities, at the ICC or in Nuremberg style tribunals, because we represent the most merciful of standard recommendations for the consequences they will face.

Not a joke.

this is the first time it’s been called for since the 1940s

Those BYD cars look FANTASTIC.
I hope this drives a stake through Tesla in Canada.
Because fuck Elon Musk.

I’ve had lifts in so many BYD cars & they are honestly some of the nicest, most comfortable, smooth rides I’ve ever had. I think a lot of Canadians have no idea of the treat they’re in for. If this incentives CA automakers to innovate & use more efficient & less polluting tech, so much the better!

CTV must be worried about legacy auto advertising. Canadian auto workers would be better off if they could get a BYD or other Chinese factory. Legacy auto has cut their own throats. And people deserve affordable vehicles at long last.

The CTV article slants heavily against this deal and brings weak arguments against the deal. Wake up, Canada. The US will cease producing cars in Canada. And the world don’t want the overpriced gas guzzlers.

My understanding is that they make the best cars at the moment. But either way I would like some choice - something other than the xxl sized American auto trend.

In almost every deal, there are winners and losers — and the Canada-China deal on electric vehicles appears to be no different.

I wish folks who I owned dogs would get it through their heads that dogs DON'T understand punitive actions.
All that does is make for an unhappy and less trusting relationship .
Also if it's cold outside for you it's cold for them.
