91 votes separate the candidates. 91!!! (For you kids, that's 24 more than 67). It has never been more important to make sure your vote counted in the Seattle Mayoral election! It's quick and easy to check, and quick and easy to fix if there's an issue! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
HEY! Did you vote for the Mayor of Seattle and think that you're DONE with this election already? Well, I'm here to tell you you're NOT! There's 1,794 ballots from Seattle alone that aren't counted due to signature issues! But good news: you can check and FIX IT if it's you!

If you live in seattle you NEED to do this.
There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

I'm told Sen. Ted Cruz led this effort. Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats weren't consulted on the addition of this language, per a source familiar. Committee's top Dem, Dick Durbin, was among the 8 Ds who voted to advance the spending measure last night.

Call for a party vote, relieve Dick Durbin from his position as minority whip.
Either the dem leadership cant manage their members, or they supported caving. Either is disgusting.
Dick’s job is to enforce votes, he didnt do his job, so he loses it.

Senate Dems believe the GOP - a party literally dismantling our democracy to turn Trump into a king - can be trusted? Their foolishness is astounding. They also won't get the votes. They gave away everything for a vote that won't save the ACA. But their billionaire backers are loving this.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

“We run all our races to the end.”
As AOC said earlier today, the “deal” 8+ Dems cut w/Repubs last night would help lock in things Musk wanted & did via DOGE for essentially nothing in return (F47 still wants to withhold SNAP-think that’s going away?).
This 👇 has more & what ppl can do.

Great breakdown👇 of what’s in the proposed deal 8+ Dems cut w/the GOP to end the #TrumpShutdown, #GOPShutdown last night. That vote just advances it to the floor. There’s still time to push on Senators to get some to flip.

Democrats were overwhelmingly united on their shutdown demands.
Americans understood that Trump and Republicans were to blame.
Voters made it known last Tuesday that they'll elect leaders who stand up to Trump.
Democrats held the cards — and folded for no reason.

And again, we're not guaranteed to win, and we're not going to sit around hoping for a win. We need to be out there working—out doing the anti-authoritarian work in the streets that needs doing, pushing candidates and electeds to do more, building grassroots infrastructure. Working. Fighting.

To be clear, what I'm saying here is that you can't make Schumer not-Schumer by shaming him. That doesn't mean you shouldn't shame him recreationally, as a team-building exercise, or pour encourager les autres.
Part of what it means to be Team Fight is a recognition that you win by winning. Just as Schumer can't shame Trump into being something other than what he is, we can't shame Schumer and the rest.

And I don't think we need fifty Team Fight senators—I think a lot of the remaining Don't Fight folks will fall in line once Team Fight has wrested control of the party.
But until then, the job is to win. And if I'm wrong about them falling in line, then the job is to beat them too.
