I've joked that the goal of a large chunk of the tech industry is to obfuscate the fact that you and everyone you love will one day die, but its rarely been so direct and ghoulish.

Understanding that the creation and maintenence of bigotry are largely the responsibility of the bourgeoisie means you have to start understanding that you have to recognize working class adopt those beliefs at least partly aspirationally. Bigotry as a knockoff Gucci handbag.
