Imagine if Jeremy Corbyn had reportedly sung disgusting antisemitic songs and been vilely racist at school - it’d be all over every newspaper and tv station in the country.
(Of course even the idea of it is ridiculous)

Palestinians across Gaza are cold and soaked following recent rains. Frustration grows as floods rise and what little they have is destroyed.

UN and partners are mobilizing to help, but much more is needed.

Remaining restrictions must be lifted to urgently get more aid in.

An LLM-produced essay is tangible proof that a student doesn’t care, and yet responding to it properly requires hour upon hour of careful work. It’s asymmetrical and overwhelming.

A very good analysis of how the violence and thuggery of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans and other hooligans before, during and after Maccabi lost 5–0 to Ajax on 7 November 2024 got misrepresented as “anti-semitism”

Birmingham, my home city, is a fantastic city, with fantastic people- a success story. It has its problems, like anywhere. But the obsession the online right has with it is as transparent as it gets.

I'm Jewish. I'm also Mancunian.

Every other national party leader was interviewed by Laura Kunesberg during their conference.

Maybe the BBC thought as someone who also supports Palestine - I had nothing to say?

@lewisgoodall.com on @newsagents.bsky.social last night said Israel has ‘allowed’ a genocide to take place- this is so disappointing. Israel hasn’t simply ‘allowed’ the genocide - they’ve deliberately engineered it.

Right now, Donald Trump is at a lavish banquet at Windsor Castle, while in Gaza a genocide is unfolding.

He alone can stop the assault on Gaza City, end the aid blockade and secure the release of hostages - Keir Starmer must make that clear to him before this visit ends.

Compelling read in today's History Can't Hide substack by Kahlil Greene: "Thousands of Gen Z’ers Don't Feel Bad About Charlie Kirk's Murder. Here’s Why." Fascinating, complex, makes you think a little harder about what just happened and why.

Thousands of Gen Z’ers Don't "Feel Bad" About Charlie Kirk's Murder. Here’s Why.
The online reaction to Charlie Kirk's assassination reveals a generational (and partisan) disconnect on issues of gun violence, systemic injustice, and the nature of political hatred.

The question bears repeating: why are the establishment UK news media continuing to claim that mass anti-migrant protests are erupting across the country when they are simply not?
Sunday protests seem to be < 500 nationwide, maybe < 300, across 4-6 locations

Yet ITV news using language of "erupt nationwide" (!)

Epping: 100-150
London: 20
Birmingham: 30
Stevenage: 30-50
Norwich: ? anything of any scale
Manchester: ? anything of any scale
Dudley: ? anything of any scale?

While relatively small gatherings of far-right protesters are reported as the start of some kind of national civil revolt, much larger protests on other issues are routinely ignored at best, and openly demonised at worst www.adambienkov.co.uk/p/anywhere-b...
