Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.

DHS official McLaughlin blatantly lies about Renee Good: "The deceased had been following our law enforcement throughout the day, stalking them. At the time of the incident, our law enforcement was outside their vehicle trying to get their vehicle out of the snow when she started harassing them."

Last year when I wrote about prison staff jumping ship for ICE, I reported that BOP had lost a net of at least 1400 employees by late fall.
I just got new data showing they lost a net of ~1700 by mid-December -- though w/EOY retirements the final 2025 figures will likely be higher.
