USA had the foundation needed to put this together. Medicaid and Medicare. People in USA pay big insurance premiums and taxes.
Say you pay 10,000$ a year for insurance plus 6,000$ a year for taxes. Even if your taxes go to 10,000$ a year for universal healthcare you still save 6,000$.
