Candidate for Winter Mayor of Minneapolis. Minnesota nationalist and public goods enthusiast. Director of We Make Minnesota.
Cleaning up my house and now very concerned about Soren Stevenson’s election.

It says here he’s going to institute policies that will raise rents and property taxes, driving out residents and small businesses. Why would he do that??

Ok, but I didn't post it.

Coming down the home stretch and I am doing everything I can to throw this election.

Arguing publicly against RCV and picking aggressive fights with voters who criticize my endorsements. It might be too late but if I only had another 10 days, I think I could lose by double digits.

Real heads know RCV is an op and yes I will risk my BET election on this belief.

Knocking doors in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Ward 13, for @ehbinmn.bsky.social & @olsenforparks.bsky.social!

It’s so rewarding to inform folks about important at-large down ballot races that greatly affect residents’ standard of living. My favorite conversation was with a retired MPS teacher!

Do I fully understand what the Board of Estimate is or does? No. But when my good friend @ehbinmn.bsky.social told me he was running for it, it made perfect sense. If you live in Minneapolis, you should vote for him! www.ehbforbet.com

When Chet Wedgely and I came together to form this partnership, we asked “how can we create a fun community environment, while also raising awareness of Eric’s stolen 2006 Chevy Suburban?”

That was the inspiration for my sponsorship of the Wedge LIVE’s first annual Float Fest.
Wedge LIVE Float Fest is also sponsored by Eric's stolen 2006 Chevy Suburban. It's blue but also looks kinda green in the sunlight. Have you seen Eric's Suburban? Let him know. @ehbinmn.bsky.social

Disclaimer: Lived here 5 years and experienced almost zero property crime. Having said that…

My beloved 2006 Chevy Suburban was seemingly stolen (???) from 35th & Grand in South Minneapolis. Please keep an eye out! Description in pics.

P.S. Yes, I own a massive SUV but I don’t drive it very much!

Nice reflection on cars, capitalism, and modern life:

Good thoughts on outsourcing public safety.

Instead of asking our experts to study, design, and implement good policies, we outsource to avoid liability. But you can't really avoid responsibility because we still live with the consequences. And then we never learn how to do things.
I don’t know whether this is warranted or not. And I get the value of external review.

But here is always the problem with hiring fucking consultants:
The Minnesota State Patrol will hire a third-party firm to conduct a security assessment at the State Capitol complex.

This is a helluva metaphor.
the thing about the “team mpls / jacob frey” design is that it works for shirts or signs in a lawn where people can see both sides to connect them, but in a window or against a wall, you’re forced to choose between displaying “team mpls” or “jacob frey”
congrats to charles rucker, @jazzformayor.bsky.social, team mpls and @omarfatehmn.com for figuring out this spot, where their signs were visible from the street

I’d like a functional, trustworthy police force.

But reality is police don’t solve crimes, won’t provide behavioral response, and won’t even save you amidst the violent emergencies they’re ostensibly geared for. Plus millions in fraudulent overtime?

If you’re not for deep reform you’re a fool.
Brookly Park Chief Bruley said "his officers were using de-escalation tactics in the pursuit of Boelter." BP Police policy "says de-escalation can only be used when delay will not 'compromise the safety' of someone else."

Lord forgive me for my sins, I have argued with Will Stancil on the internet
July 26, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Will gets 25 likes in four minutes on this nitpicky thread about the city convention but *I’m* the one rolling with “you guys.”

The nerve!
I mean it’s true that the winner doesn’t want to throw out the result. And the others don’t want to get swarmed by you guys. But ultimately I’m going to stand by the idea that losing 20% of the votes, and dramatically changing the rules at the eleventh hour, makes for a bad and illegitimate process.
I’m a Stancil apologist in the sense that I think he’s smart and makes some good points.

But this is the thing he does I object to most. The “Minneapolis left” isn’t saying it’s harmless to throw out votes; Fateh, Jazz, and Davis are saying that throwing out the whole convention is worse.
July 26, 2025 at 5:43 PM
Why is it more legitimate to throw out 80%? Especially when that’s exactly what the 20% want.

But more importantly who is “you guys”??? I’m not the one with tens of thousands of followers liking every post!

The Minneapolis left needs to stop defending the idea that it’s okay or harmless to simply lose a double digit share of votes. I know you like the outcome but it’s embarrassing. You’re supposed to be better than this.
July 26, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Will’s point rests on the unfounded assumption that a potential miscount favored one candidate over others, which conveniently supports his preferred outcome. Given that a miscount was likely random, allowing it to block endorsement is just tyranny of the 33% instead of the 60%. Why is that better?
I wanted no endorsement and haven’t been taking marching orders from Team Frey. But the Minneapolis left is eager to jump to “We won, just accept it!” and trying to bully anyone who points out the extremely clear irregularities in balloting. It’s gross. minnesotareformer.com/2025/07/25/a...
