Why TF is this a headline or an article?

I think the ABC are running the exact same rage-baiting censorship tactics against brown people that The Oz was running against Yassmin Abdel-Magied a decade ago, and just like those red-faced News Corp dudes they won't rest until they're satisfied
Randa Abdel-Fattah to feature at Sydney Writers' Festival
Sydney Writers' Festival has defended featuring Randa Abdel-Fattah on its 2026 program, saying it is "not in the business of cancelling or censoring writers".

Solidarity with Vanessa Turnbull Roberts. An old, shitty story that keeps happening. The real 'cancel culture' is women's careers being cut short or derailed when they need to choose safety. Because apparently we're not always entitled to both.
Vanessa Turnbull-Roberts says she stepped down as the ACT's first Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people commissioner to prioritise her safety after being subjected to sexual harassment and sexual assault by a public servant.

ICE using the same ruse that Ted Bundy used to kidnap people should tell you something.
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

We knew from the moment we heard it that “social cohesion” would be one of those Orwellian terms which would be used to cover all manner of state sanctioned abuse and deprivation of civic freedoms.
It fuels the very unrest it pretends to seek to quell.

Ghislaine Maxwell has made it abundantly clear that she will continue protecting pedophiles and sex traffickers until she is granted clemency by Donald Trump.

She doesn’t care about the crimes that she has committed and is completely unremorseful.

Do. Not. Let. Them. Minimise. This.

Armed state violence against peaceful prayer is peak Islamophobia and vicious racism and. We have very few codified constitutional freedoms and this is almost certainly unconstitutional. They are officers of the law.
Extraordinary footage. Police pulling off people engaged in peaceful prayer.
