«Mausoleum of false memories» is a great way to put it. Does this kind of AI slop really trigger fond memories of shopping at Walmart? To me, it seems almost like second-order nostalgia, not a longing for an imaginary better past, but an unfulfilled desire for something worth remembering at all
This is doing numbers on social media right now and it's so depressing how people truly yearn for this shit and want to preserve that feeling indefinitely like a mausoleum of false memories.
