Gute Nachrichten aus Costa Rica: Arbeiter*innen und die Gewerkschaft Sitrap haben Aldi Süd dazu verpflichtet, die Arbeitsbedingungen auf den Bananenplantagen zu verbessern. Das Lieferkettengesetz wirkt also und kann die Rechte von Betroffenen stärken. @annabellb.bsky.social

Nein, große Teile Syriens sind zerstört. Das Gesundheitssystem zusammengebrochen. Gewalt bricht aus. Deshalb: Die humanitäre Lage verbietet Rückführungen nach Syrien. Die Politik sollte ein Bleiberecht für ALLE Syrer*innen ermöglichen. Abschiebepläne im großen Stil sind vor allem eins: rassistisch.
Die humanitäre Lage verhindert Rückführungen nach Syrien nicht generell, sondern abhängig vom Einzelfall, analysiert Prof. Dr. Daniel Thym. Die Politik sollte daneben aber auf Rückkehrförderung, Erkundungsreisen und Bleiberechte für gut Integrierte setzen:
Syrien: Abschiebungen möglich, im Großen Stil aber unrealistisch
Ob ein menschenwürdiges Leben in Syrien und damit eine Abschiebung möglich ist, hängt von der Region und der konkreten Situation des Ausländers ab.

Tomorrow, multinational Lafarge and several of its former executives will stand trial in Paris for financing terrorist groups. Although this is a milestone for corporate accountability, it should not detract from the fact that the company is also charged for complicity in crimes against humanity.
