I used to wear a gents 10 (9 if I could get it in wide fit), and now I have to wear an extra pair of socks in my size 7 doc martens or they're loose enough to chew my feet to bits
Okay, transphobes freaking out because trans woman makes good on Broadway, yadah, yadah. But you skimmed right over the interesting bit. Estrogen made her feet smaller?? This is the kind of weird factoid I need to know more about. Is there scientific backing for this? Is it just anecdotal?
Dylan Mulvaney's latest success, this time on Broadway, once again has conservative weirdos frothing at the mouth.

also there are a bunch of other good scenes in this, one of my favourite of Otter's works, a viciously delicate prose sculpture of stained glass and cheese-wire with some truly glorious catharsis in the moment you finally get to smash it
Reminding myself of the structure and cadence I used for Apparat names, and accidentally suckered myself into rereading Ink-Coloured Mouse.

I'm good sometimes, you know? And I bet there are some sickos here who'd appreciate the finger-breaking scene

Good afternoon, evening, whatever! We've got a new Slimebrarian's Choice post for you, discussing a really solid light novel series with a trans heroine! The Mimosa Confessions is messy and dramatic, but I loved it, so here's me rambling about it for a bit.

they will note that, as are all humans, the author and their interlocutor were leaky bags of soup with the bones left in and frankly getting as far as making a machine that can beam text from one side of the Atlantic to the other is already nothing short of miraculous
Future generations will uncover this post without context and justifiably conclude that the author had untreated mental illness

With apologies, kicking this round again. We’re moving into a temp home today but everything is on the meter and with having to extend my stay at the hotel five days whilst waiting for the council, I lost a huge chunk of cash to that.

Soz, I know this is piss taking by now.
we’ve got somewhere to stay after the fucking place flooded again, just a room tho, I’ve just managed to pack the bare minimum and I’m skint beyond words.

I am so sorry, this has all gone to shit. Can anyone help with emergency survival funds?

Body language that shows that the narrator or viewpoint character is incorrect in how they understand themself and/or their environment

also awkwardness (if that's not the same thing)
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.

No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at

Is anyone brave eniough? 👀
