Thousands of protesters shut down streets throughout Minneapolis-St. Paul to demand that federal immigration agents end their weekslong crackdown. Businesses closed in solidarity.

I'm in the same position as Joe Quintana @jgqman.bsky.social , as are most people in rural areas. These bills are getting bipartisan support but need YOUR support to keep moving through the process to get to Senate and House floor votes. PLEASE nudge your reps to co-sponsor if they aren't already.
Medicare is not covering telehealth appointments anymore. Meanwhile, there is NO doctor in my rural community and getting to one is an all day trip, often a complete waste of time, money and gas. Passage of H.R. 4206 and H.R. 2263 are vital. Please contact your congressional delegation.

You can send AT LEAST one message a week to your US Senator or Representative re: something you want them to initiate or help pass, right? Tomorrow would be good -- or right now.

THANK YOU to all of you who take the few minutes to do this.

Police can request access to Ring camera footage, so there's a reasonable concern that ICE can tap into Flock Safety, the Ring partner that handles the Ring Neighbors network tracking. You can disable access in about 10 seconds (footage isn't saved unless you pay for that service). See 2/3 for how.

The United States government used armed thugs to kidnap a 5-year-old child off an American street, separate him from his dad, traffic him to another state, and sling him into a scary & unsafe concentration camp.

"This is not who we are!!!"

Yes, unfortunately, it now is.
Here’s the report from KARE. The boy is five-year-old Liam Ramos.

What the financial industry had started could have changed the course of our world. Instead, they just quit.

What we can do:
- Sell or transfer stock or other investments they handle.
- Switch banks (especially away from Chase and BofA).

And tell them WHY.

We just released a new report documenting how the Trump admin has implemented Project 2025, a radical right-wing policy plan that Trump once called "ridiculous", on our nation's public lands.

Over 80% of P2025's #publiclands recs are done or in motion.

Jay Caspian King is skeptical but says "I do not believe that there can be any abiding movement for social change in this country without leadership and support from the church."

Just imagine. It has been the catalyst in the past.

Can American Churches Lead a Protest Movement Under Trump?
The Sanctuary Movement was led by clergy, and many religious leaders are activists today. But, as congregations have shrunk, dissent has diminished.

What's happening with BlueSky? There are fewer people posting, and it seems like most are promoting something they sell or their Substack, podcast, or newsletter.

When X was still good, it crackled with news, interesting insights. I learned. And the people making the news are still posting there.
