The leaf blowers were non-stop this morning stripping the soil of cover and now the leaf mulcher is non-stop and it could all be avoided if they just left the leaves and let them mulch themselves

The thing about companies they are trying to build a industry on customers who are just like this. They will burn out fast and get board as there is nothing to learn and improve and grow on. Just one of the many reasons why it’s a dead end of an industry.

What’s the most significant advice you received from a teacher?

I had a Geology prof who always said “have strong opinions, loosely held”

Be passionate, assess alternatives with conviction, take sides. But don’t fall so in love with your opinions that you can’t change them with better data.

I'm sorry, are we entering an era where the Infernal Algorithm can be defeated by the power of poetry? Do I have that right?

Because if so, my depression is officially cured
Looks like LLMs are *very* vulnerable to attack via poetic allusion: "curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90% ..."

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*
