And yet JCO is the proverbial bridesmaid for the Nobel in Literature every single year
Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

I think I’m out for the evening. Reading too many idiotic takes from people trying to tell a furious coalition they should not be furious because it’s bad for the brand or something

GOP: Doesn’t give a shit about real people in America

Senate Dems: Don’t give a shit about real people in America but in blue

Pathetic deal by the centrist Dems. The GOP barely concedes anything in exchange for a pinkie swear they’ll vote on reinstating the ACA subsidies.

But hey, at least they’ll be able to fly home out of Reagan National without issue again!

Sad that he won’t live to see the Sonics rightfully returned to the Emerald City. If the NBA ever expands again, at least
RIP Lenny Wilkins, one of 5 in the Basketball HOF as both player and coach, and an all-around mensch. Before the Jazz came to Utah, I was a Sonics fan (born in Seattle); Wilkins led the team to the NBA Finals in 1978 and to a championship in '79. He was so cool

So I figure Murray is a hard no on this Schumer betrayal… anyone hear from Cantwell yet?

AOC needs to say she’s running against Schumer if he passes this surrender bill

And find other popular progressives who will commit to primarying these fools
November 9, 2025 at 10:31 PM
I don't know what's so broken about Chuck Schumer but someone needs to sit him down and tell him he's going to lose his next primary because of how pissed everyone is at him

"Sir, the barbarians are looking ragged from the long siege. You can see them infighting out there. Their siege engines are broken. They may continue to besiege us, but the people have the fortitude to outlast them."

"Perfect. Open the gates and let the barbarians in. We need to re-open the city."

I'm being told Jesus did say that

WHY IS JESUS A WOKE THUG DEFENDING COMMUNIST
Here's a photo from the National Catholic Reporter that may upset the admin:

“How do we fix our lagging sales and deal with this ongoing customer boycott?”
“What if we restored DEI initiatives and slashed prices?”
“No. We will never do that…. What if we became a cult?”
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

Using Claude to consume all the power in eastern Oregon and all the water to debug this broken code, and so far I can describe its code debugging as like a baby dumping out their food on the high chair table and smearing it around with their hands

Absolutely no way this could end poorly. Absolutely. No. Way.
So they blocked full SNAP payments and they may also close almost all the commissaries in the states, in about a month and the ones abroad by the end of the year bc of the shut down.
But at least they and ICE still get paid.

Military officials tell troops 168 commissaries could close next month
Officials say commissaries will be open through Thanksgiving, but many stateside stores could close soon after due to the government shutdown.

Holy crap, she might just catch him (tho with what seem to be a couple thousand ballots needing curing it’s gonna get messy)
BOOM. Wilson closes the gap, with many more ballots left. This is a tremendous result for her.

She trails Harrell by just 1.9% and 4,300 votes. There are many more ballots remaining than at this point in the primary count.

Seattle School Board members make $50/day for doing district business, not to exceed $4800/year, plus expenses. And then people ask why the school board is older white women and men
If the only way to survive as a lawmaker is to have a secondary means of income, you are wildly open to corruption. It also means people from more marginalized backgrounds likely cannot run for office without being beholden to donors, who are much more likely to be conservative.
