The drunk driver of GU17OBK smashed their car into the pedestrian crossing on Denmark Hill during the early morning rush hour.

There are 2 lanes each way on this road by the junction with Acland Cres, but they still managed to destroy the crossing.

We need this in Dulwich to deal with school drop off at JAGS
As they say, when you invent the wheel, you invent the parking violation.

But Assyrians had a solution.

A bike rider uses the pavement to avoid the pick up truck LP73ODM parked on the pavement and on double yellows.

The route is used by hundreds of school children. Why isn’t there a protected bike lane along here?

A @limebike was seen on the pavement yesterday.

In other news, a driver drove over the pavement on Adys Rd, mounting a bell bollard to stop drivers going on the pavement and flipping their car over.

Vehicles evading ANPR cameras (by covering their number plates) to drive down school streets are a common sight on the roads around Dulwich.

Where is the police action to arrest these illegal drivers?

Brilliant to join up with Rosendale Clean Air on a glorious #bikebus.

Hundreds of children cycle to school in West Dulwich & face close passes and road danger daily.

These children deserve their bike lane - @rezinachowdhury.bsky.social
please don’t keep them waiting!

Are you worried about road danger on Half Moon Lane?

A local group are keen to find out the views of the wider community - children and teenagers as well as adults - who use the key crossing points around Half Moon Lane, Village Way & Beckwith Rd.

Good to see a new zebra crossing and wider pavements have been installed on Grove Vale.

This was always difficult and dangerous to cross, now much safer.

Scenes from Park Hall Rd, Dulwich, this morning. We understand from local eye witnesses a driver hit a woman on the pavement who was walking her children to school.

We really hope everyone is going to be ok.

Families shouldn’t have to face this.

Road resurfacing works today and tomorrow sees the closure of College Rd/Fountain Drive.

Many vehicles are ignoring the closure signs and getting stuck trying to turn around to head back up to Crystal Palace.

The Bentley driving parents of Dulwich Prep give a big thumbs up to parking dangerously outside the schools on Alleyn Park.

A school street on Alleyn Park can’t come soon enough to protect those travelling to Kingsdale and Dulwich Prep.

A Met Police van parked illegally & dangerously on a zebra crossing in Dulwich, blocking drivers’ sight lines to pedestrians crossing.

⚠️3pts and a fine for drivers.

But the police must be attending an emergency? No, just queuing for pastries from Gail’s bakery. 😡

Another driver ignores the many signs and drives through the new Dulwich Square

There is no traffic light for vehicles, so exiting he will be driving at cyclists turning in.

At least this one hasn’t covered his number plates and so should get a ticket from Southwark

A bollard has been knocked down by a vehicle on Calton Ave.

Meanwhile, the Dulwich police panel get bombarded with complaints from local anti-cycling campaigners about kids on bikes. 🤷‍♂️

A very clear response from London Fire Commissioner, Andy Rowe to a question at Fire Plenary last week from Emma Best AM about the impact of LTNs on fire brigade attendance times.

"We genuinely couldn't find any evidence of LTNs doing anything to our overall attendance times".

⚠️Only bollards stop drivers parking on the pavement.

But the risk of getting a ticket acts as a deterrent.

The driver of white van OV23BBF mounted and then parked on the pavement on East Dulwich Grove.

You can’t park there!

A driver has crashed their car over the pavement and into the wall on Lordship Lane, near the junction with Court Lane.

This road has a 20mph speed limit.

East Dulwich Grove is closed to through traffic.

But that isn’t stopping illegal motorbikes without number plates from mounting the pavement and endangering pedestrians including many school children walking to @alleynsschool.bsky.social CharterEast, JAGs and more.

Even concrete blocks can’t completely stop the tank-like vehicles that are being driven dangerously along East Dulwich Grove.

Outside Charter East School. Next to a pedestrian crossing. A 20mph limit but the site of regular serious crashes.
