Southern expat living in sunny Manchester - quite liked the ending of Game of Thrones. Posts in a personal capacity because I can't afford to outsource it.
The year I don't get to go ...

Met Office's recent redesign... Here's the major flaw. Blowing a hoolie outside... No gust measure now, just lovely 20mph winds shown..

It's basically dangerous.

I know it's really not the focus or concern at the moment but what the hell is a "Pork Egg Roll".

Have they reinvented the Scotch Egg?

There are two types of people in the world. Those that sort the weights into order, including those they didn't use, at the gym and those that don't.

Yes dear reader I'm that first type. I think it's safe to self diagnose based on this?!

I like them.
Now that we've all got over the initial outrage and got used to them, I think we can all agree that plastic bottles having the lids attached is a genius idea. No dropped lids, easier to recycle and always able to reseal the bottle. Brilliant.

This could form part of the breakaway, subscription premium, BBC.
A radio programme like the Shipping Forecast but it’s called Bin Day and it just reads out every single council in the country’s bin schedule

You know how on Strictly there's an affair / hook up or two every series.

Who's it going to be on #WorldsApart?

Someone just knocked on the door waving a UK Government ID lanyard asking me about my boiler and how old it is.

Is this seriously a thing? I told them exactly how uninterested I was in giving them any info.

This with bells on.

No, just regular bells. Not everything has to be about Christmas you know.
Everyone who thinks that because Halloween is now over it means that we can start celebrating Christmas can fuck right off.
November 1, 2025 at 12:43 PM
Right that's Halloween out of the way, let's crash on though Nov. 5th, limp towards the winter solstice, endure Christmas and then the nights will draw out again, it will soon be spring, and we can all stop pretending there's anything at all good about winter.

Not going to miss you Andrew.

Web developers, you need this test more than most.
Brushing up on my highway code, using the test on the RAC's website, and I'm really stuck on numbers 7 and 9. Can any experienced motorists help out?

Bloody Hell that was a gig. Divine Comedy at Bridgwater Hall.

Never seen them before an invisible thread drew me in.

I'll admit I didn't follow the news of the new Pope closely but I'm sure this isn't right.

Just saw Emma Pollock at The Lloyd and Platt in Chorlton.

Very handily five minutes from my house and a great gig regardless
