When politicians try to turn your outrage towards a welcome to country debate, ask yourself - “what are they trying to distract my outrage away from?”
Unsurprising there's now a "debate" about welcomes to country, it's just another aspect of the strongly regressive cultural movement across the western world, away from generosity and towards meanness. That, in turn, reflects anxiety. Fearful people are mean, simple as that.
