I am struggling with what might be a generational experience. The gulf war was pretty politically formative for me. It’s not history so much as memory this time.
It is destabilizing to see almost the exact same gameplan but this time without the guardrails that at the time I took for granted.

Finally got to season 2 of Percy Jackson. Episode 1 of season 2 is a big jump from season 1. Pacing is better. Grounding of characters is better.

Finally got to season 2 of Percy Jackson. Episode 1 of season 2 is a big jump from season 1. Pacing is better. Grounding of characters is better.

Hoodoo is Kongo theology with some of its herbalist roots in the Yoruba tradition. Benin shows up in Hoodoo as well. There's a reason why the diasporic traditions are complementary.
