Holy shit, she said that?
Kristi Noem: "When it gets to Election Day, we've been proactive to make sure we have the right people voting, electing the right leaders to lead this country."

Spot on! She is so smart and progressive in the best sense of the word.
AOC: "Extreme level of wealth inequality leads to social instability and drives authoritarianism, right-wing populism, and really dangerous domestic internal politics. That is a direct outcome of the failure of democracies over decades to deliver."

Poor Pam Bondi. How stressful it must have been for her to have to point out that representative were talking about the issues the AG was called in to explain rather than crime in their districts. I'm surprised she didn't explode with all that righteous indignation-- she seemed close at times.

LOL
Ketchup will be flying all over the ‘wrecked house’. MONSTER GHOUL Miller will have lost half his head!
February 12, 2026 at 1:07 AM
Another stand out.
Pam Bondi has been a complete and total failure at her job. The Epstein survivors showed more courage just by being in that room than she did under oath. She refused to answer questions and chose complicity.

America deserves better.

EXACTLY!
Raskin: "I want the whole country to look at this. This is the attorney general of the US whose job is law enforcement. We've never had a witness who has misunderstood our rules and been unable to conform his or her conduct to our rules before. Excuse me."

I don't know how she smeared Neguse, but I'm just going to enjoy the light he shines on how unfit she is for her office
NEGUSE: AG Bondi, that man works for you now, right? The man in that video from J6 yelling 'kill them!' at cops. His name is Jared Wise.

BONDI: He does work for us, yes. I believe he was pardoned

NEGUSE: And you expect hard-working police officers to believe you take law enforcement seriously?
February 11, 2026 at 9:45 PM
pretty sure this is what they make people listen to in hell
This is utterly deranged behavior from a U.S. attorney general
February 11, 2026 at 9:26 PM
Listening to her testimony is torture and possibly illegal under Geneva Convention rules.
Bondi: He didn't even know Chase Mulligan was. He is a defendant in your own district who preyed on girls.

Raskin: Well, you know what? If he were part of the Epstein investigation, you wouldn’t do anything about it.
February 11, 2026 at 6:26 PM
Well, that went about as well as I thought it would. Nothing but shouty non-answers and unwarranted self-righteous indignation from this one. As always useless and unwatchable.
wow -- Bondi throws a fit in response to Nadler's question about how many of Epstein's co-conspirators, if any, she's investigating, aggressively pointing at him and yelling. The hearing then devolves into chaos and Raskin and Bondi start yelling at each other.
February 11, 2026 at 5:57 PM
That's the way to do it!!!!
Jayapal: To the survivors in the room, if you are willing, please stand. And if you are willing, please raise your hands. If you have still not been able to meet with this DOJ. Please note for the record that every single survivor has raised their hand.

The brutality of U.S.A.I.D.’s closure and the disregard for the human toll betrayed a vision of a crueler, meaner, more insular world — one in which America aspires not to any pretense of moral leadership but simply to naked power, dominance and extractive self-interest.

Excellent point.
The man who told reporters it’s time to move on from the Epstein files won’t shut up about the 2020 election.

The CIA just stopped publishing their World Factbook and took every page, including the archived copies of previous versions!

This sucks. It was public domain, so I recovered the 2020 edition (the last one published as a zip file) and shared it to GitHub simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/5/t...

Trump: I hate even talking about ICE. 2 people out of tens of thousands and you get bad publicity.

Host: But it was 2 Americans who died—

Trump: The waters where we knock out boats

Stephen Miller enjoying some fresh air
Oi Hollywood/BBC/Netflix/etc, we still haven't got that big budget 10 hour long episodes historically accurate tv drama series about the Black Death.
Only one of the biggest most dramatic events in history ever...
Come on, do your thing.
Must have Sean Bean in it though.

The money all seems to be going to the same old places.
Amazon dropped $75M on the Melania doc — with a big chunk going into the Trumps' pockets.

Since then, Amazon Web Services got a $580M Pentagon contract.

And this week, Pete Hegseth visited Blue Origin facilities as the DoD overhauls how it hands out defense contracts.

Always follow the money.

Everyone needs to come up to speed on Flock systems. The city of Mountain View across the Bay from my home in northern California just turned their cameras off when they learned the data they collected was being accessed by outside entities w/out permission.
Watch both these videos. And if you don't think they're related, you're really going to enjoy living in the billionaire “free economic zones” with oligarchs as dictators and tech as a taskmaster for helpless humans without any rights.

The Surveillance State is complete.

Bezos worth = ~ $250B. WaPos losses est ~1 M. If he cared about independent media/informed public, he could cover those losses personally w/o feeling it. This isn't about business, this is about cutting back on quality journalism that often reveals ugly truths about people in power.
Here's who the Washington Post just laid off.
