It's interesting how Wes Anderson movies are about an outsider trying to join some group of people, but the people they're joining are also weird outsiders.

The best thing Dan Aykroyd ever did was insist on hiring great musicians for The Blues Brothers.
The movie would have been nothing without Aretha Franklin. Performance of a lifetime. Pure joy.

My attempt to replicate my favorite art from @d20plusmodifier.bsky.social and @leder.games , "News From Afar". It's funny how much I missed with the original right in front of me!

It's funny that the two most prominent economic demands of activists lately, (free buses and student loan forgiveness,) aren't particularly good policies.

If we ever were to get a sequel to D&D Honor Among Thieves, I'd hope they'd keep the exact same cast... but roll new characters on a new campaign. It would make watching them as a double feature both SO D&D accurate but also SO HILARIOUS.

It's such a fantastic way to show the relative power of the characters. The Lich doesn't even have to try.
Every time the Lich does a single word statement that cause all the protagonists to collapse it is the coolest, scariest thing

It probably seems weird in CITY The Animation that school kids with part time jobs have their own apartments. Japanese urbanism is the reason. You can get an apartment like this for 400$ a month, and you don't need a car. Compared to America, you save $1,000+ a month!
This is true freedom.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

Silksong is the only game in years, maybe ever, that I finished then just started over and played it straight through again.

i mean c’mon. the president’s best friend was the most notorious pedo in the country’s history who ran a massive child trafficking ring. every bit of circumstantial evidence we have says that trump was a participant. if this were a criminal trial we’d have enough evidence to compel a plea deal.

Remember how Elon said that Trump was in the Epstein files and that’s why he won’t let them be released and he apparently knew all about that but then decided to be friends with Trump again a week later so he just deleted that tweet and doesn’t mention it and no one regards that as a bit of an issue

Steven Universe has multiple characters with low status jobs and even a song complaining about how degrading it is, but there are no managers in the setting. Business just run themselves I guess.
I suspect no one in the crew ever had a real job.
(There are two band managers though)

The lesson of Overwatch: don't play games that have out of game incentives to play. (Loot boxes, etc.)
Even if you don't engage with the loot boxes, the other players are, and it makes them awful to play with. Hateful community.

It's interesting how nonstandard use of the American flag has gone from, "I won't honor a country that's a police state" (1960s flag counterculture) to "I won't honor this country because it's not yet a police state" (thin blue line)

A really cool thing @leder.games does: instead of tech trees, (predictable, boring, Unrealistic) they have people. (Interesting, varied, better for narrative).
Instead of "quantum missiles" or whatever, they have freedom fighters!

In case you're wondering why I put Kim Wexler in there, the rest of the team would definitely end up in prison.
