We all use social media for different reasons; I see here as my virtual office/street, where we can chat about history, archaeology, warhammer, wargaming, sci-fi, music, culture... in short, pretty much anything! I generally follow back (technical competence notwithstanding 🤭) so, welcome all!

Here's a wee photo of the fantastic Anglo-Norman Dunhill Castle, County Waterford, in the drizzle and mist... built in the early C13th by the le Poers and quite puffed out by the time I got up to it but... wow, what a view in the end 🙂

This is *such* an important find & will form significant collection w/ Leekfrith Iron Age torcs & Staffs AS hoard gold as examples of gold through time.

But we really REALLY shouldn't be held ransom by finders & landowners for such pieces...
