Lately I have upped my game by telling kids that I will see them in 6 or 7 months.

Why do some kids drop naps early while others cling to them for years?

One theory ties nap transitions to brain development — specifically, how the hippocampus handles memory.

Parents on my viral post shared everything from daycare nap woes to “my kid dropped naps at 2 and remembers everything.”

When we “fall back,” don’t waste the gift of an extra hour. Go to bed one hour earlier, wake up at your usual time, and keep the new schedule. That simple shift gives you an extra hour of sleep every night through fall and winter. #SleepTips #DaylightSavingTime

The clocks go back, and suddenly your toddler's up at 5 A.M.
Go to bed later, keep mornings dark, and stay consistent.
Most kids adjust in 3--5 days -- and you can thank Big Candy 🍬 and Big Golf ⛳ for the chaos.

The government is shut down because Trump and the Republicans are hellbent on taking health care away from you.

And they won’t even come to the table to talk to us about it.

This is not about politics. It's about people.

Let’s break it down:

My thoughts on this dark day.

1/ The beating heart of a free society is the ability for citizens to engage in political life with no fear of violence. Once we lose this freedom, few will step forward, and our entire democratic experiment unwinds into chaos and recrimination.

At least three teenagers were in critical condition after being shot Wednesday afternoon on the grounds of Evergreen High School. The suspected shooter was among the three.

As someone who cares for medically vulnerable children, I can no longer recommend that my patient’s families travel to Florida. I call on Make a Wish and similar organizations to no longer sponsor trips to Disneyworld or Universal Studios.

Exactly. A central component of present-day American Christianity is a backlash to the kindness, tolerance, and pluralism taught by Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street. Nothing worse than helping a stranger in need or having Black neighbors who you treat as people.
I’ve seen some folks refer to James Dobson as some coincidental “evil twin” to Fred Rogers, and I would like to clear the record: Dobson was an intentional fundamentalist _reaction_ to Mr. Rogers and his liberal Christian influence on children. It wasn’t an eerie coincidence it was violent rejection

Vacations sometimes mean breaking the sleep rules — like bedsharing with your preschooler.

The trick? Call it a “special sleepover” and explain that it’s only for the trip. That way, you can make it magical now and get back to your routine later.

The benefit of having covered these anti-vax and COVID contrarian folks for years is that we know where the bodies are buried.

And we’re going to keep digging them up over and over and over again until everyone knows.
Okay, we did a deep dive.

Important Context and the Center for Media and Democracy have everything you need to know about what’s happening with the CDC’s critical vaccine panel that Robert Kennedy Jr. is reshaping.
