I love tweets like this. Mind blowing.
The protein concentration in the cytoplasm is so high that the average protein has a water hydration shell with a thickness of only ≈ 10 water molecules separating it from the adjacent protein hydration shell.

Human fetal tissue research has saved millions of lives and continues to drive biomedical innovation. Restricting it would not alter abortion rates, it would force scientists to discard an irreplaceable research resource for treating devastating diseases.
Restrictions on fetal tissue research would threaten progress on breakthrough treatments for devastating diseases — and yet not prevent a single abortion
The U.S. government may restrict funding for research that uses human fetal tissue. The move would undermine medical science and prolong patients' suffering from devastating diseases.

Toilets and bathrooms are sex segregated, not “gendered”, because that is the important factor for safety, privacy, dignity etc, especially for women and girls.
Arguing, as you do here, that women can’t have boundaries because enforcing them is harmful to men, is rape culture.

This is part of the reason that I’m working on a fully open-source MS instrument. It’s targeted for atmospheric monitoring rather than proteomics, but it’s a step toward making MS hardware much more accessible. Hoping to have it ready to unveil at ASMS 2026.

One gene can code for proteoforms with:
◼️ different functions
◼️ different sequences
◼️ different regulation
◼️ different cell type expression
Such examples should inform the interpretation of gene deletion experiments seeking to infer "gene functions".
