If anyone tells you indie games are only pixel platformers you can safely ignore them. The wide, amazing world of indie RPGs, horror games, strategy games, and sims is wide and deep and incredible and we're honestly lucky to live in an age of amazing indie games.
crossposting here because holy moly does this subject piss me off every time it comes up. if your concept of indie games is solely "pixelshit platformers" i really have to wonder if you bother paying attention to indie devs at all
